EPI became a member of Coalition ‘All For Fair Trials’

The Coalition “All For Fair Trials” during its annual session decided to accept the European Policy Institute – EPI as its new member. Besides EPI, the Macedonian Young Lawyers Association also joined the Coalition.

The Coallition is a network of civil society organisations, with goals to:

• ● to increase compliance with the standards for fair trial before domestic courts
• ● to establish public confidence in the legal system and judiciary in general
• ● to identify the inherited problems in the judicial system and indicate the need for legal and institutional reform
• ● to acquaint the public with the standards for fair trial and to strengthen citizens’ trust in the functioning of the judicial system
• ● to reduce the opportunities for improper treatment of parties to the dispute by the judges and other participants in the proceedings
