The aim of the Conference is to officially present Network 23, civil society organisations engaged in monitoring and evaluation of the policies under Chapter 23 – Judiciary and Fundamental Rights and their implementation in the country.

European Policy Institute (EPI), Helsinki Committee for Human Rights of the Republic of Macedonia and Centre for Change Management, have the pleasure to invite You to the Final Conference of the project Network 23. The event will be held on July 9 (Thursday) 2015, Hotel Holiday Inn (Millennium Hall 1) in Skopje, at 10.00 am. This project was implemented within IPA 2013 – Civil Society Facility Program.

The aim of the Conference is to officially present Network 23, CSOs which were actively involved in monitoring and evaluation of public policies Chapter 23 – Judiciary and Fundamental Rights.

Furthermore, findings of the Draft-analysis for these areas, as first shadow analysis for this Chapter, will be presented within this event. Findings from the policy papers as results of the evidence-based analysis prepared by the grantees of this project, will be also presented.

Conclusions from the discussion will be integrated in the final version of the Analysis. Additionally, database MERC (merc.org.mk) will be presented within the Conference, developed as a web-based application enabling categorization, cross referencing and documentation of data related to the EU accession of the Republic of Macedonia regarding Chapter 23 – Judiciary and fundamental rights.

The Conference will be addressed by the project implementers and representative from the institutions. Keynote speakers for each panel are Dr. Natasa Gaber Damjanovska, judge of the Constitutional Court and Ms. Silva Pesic – Human Rights Advisor to the UN Resident Coordinator. As speakers provided representatives of institutions, distinguished experts and practitioners in the country and region. Representatives of institutions, distinguished experts and practitioners in the country and region will also have a role of speakers.
