Workshop “Chapter 23 – Fundamental Rights”
In the period 31st August – 2nd September 2016, Workshop on Fundamental Rights according to the Chapter 23 structure was held. This workshop was intended for the members of the civil society organizations that are part of the Network 23 and those within the re-granting scheme of the project “Network 23+”. Therefore, through the realization of their projects and their regular activities, they are directly connected with the process of monitoring and evaluation of the public policies under the Chapter 23. Moreover, this workshop was also attended by the representatives of the Ombudsman, Directorate for personal data protection and Committee for European Affairs within the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia.
Aims of the Workshop were:
- Introduction to the structure of creating information, monitoring and evaluation of the public policies under the Chapter 23.
- Fundamental Rights according to the Chapter 23.
- Monitoring of the realization of the fundamental rights and their protection.
Participants gained knowledge about the structure of the Chapter 23, especially the Fundamental Rights within this Chapter, mechanisms for protection, methodology for creation of informative, evaluative and monitoring databases related with the accession negotiations, as well as the experiences, challenges and risk management regarding the process of project implementation. Web tool MERC was also presented.
