Between fact and fiction – what will NATO integration bring to Macedonia?
The European Policy Institute – Skopje (EPI) has the honour to invite you to participate on the presentation of two research papers which analyse the effects of Macedonia’s accession to NATO. The event will take place on 7th of December, at the hotel Holiday Inn, with registration opening at 9:30. The researches of Ms. Ivana Velkovska and Mr. Timurlenk Cekovik are done within the project “Civic Debate on NATO”, financed by the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Macedonia.
Multiple effects that would be caused from the Macedonia’s NATO accession are being analysed in the research papers, including the effects on the country’s security, economic prosperity and development of the civil sector. The Minister of Defence, Ms. Radmila Shekerinska will be participating in the event, as well as Dr. Jugoslav Ackoski, visiting professor from the Military Academy “General Mihailo Apostoloski” and Mr. Mile Boskov from the Business Confederation of Macedonia, who will be commenting these researches.

The project “Civic Debate on NATO” is financed by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Macedonia. The aim of the project is to contribute towards NATO accession through an evidence-based debate, which will improve citizens’ understanding of Macedonia’s NATO membership.
