Round table for the project “Caring for the Carers”
The European Policy Institute organized a round table as a part of the project “Caring for the carers: Policy analysis of informal care provision in Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina“. The project analyses the public policy for long-term care, focussing on the individuals who give informal care to the elderly, chronically ill, and individuals with disabilities in home conditions. As a part of the project, a draft policy brief was prepared based on interviews and focus groups with key stakeholders, in the course of the last six months.
The discussion at the round table was aimed at the possible measures and policies that would improve the status of the informal carers. The participants at the round table included representatives of the centres for social work, civil society organizations and experts.
This event was the concluding activity of the “Caring for the carers” project, which is a follow-up of the project: “(In)equality in social protection: multi-level analysis of intersectionality in social assistance provision – A comparative study”.
The project is financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
