The European Policy Institute (EPI) partnered with the Center for Social Research – Analitika from Bosnia and Herzegovina, on 01.06.2016 started implementing the project “Caring for the carers: Policy analysis of informal care provision in Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina”, which is presents an up-grade of the project “(In)equality in social protection: multi-level analysis of intersectionality in social assistance provision – A comparative study”.
Through policy analysis for the long-term care, focusing on the individuals who supply informal care to the old, chronically ill and disabled individuals in home conditions (often family members who are not paid and are not trained medically for their work), the project aims to bring improvements of the long-term care framework, taking the needs of the carers into consideration.
The project is financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, and will be implemented in a period of 6 months.
