Dr Biljana Kotevska presented the Yearbook, and its content, as well as the authors and their topics of research. The panel discussion consisted of Prof. Jelena Dzankic from the European University Institute, Florence; Prof. Arta Selmani from the South East European University \u2013 Tetovo; and Prof. Jadranka Denkova, University \u2018Goce Del\u010dev\u2019 \u2013 \u0160tip. They talked about the connection between policy-making and policy research and their experiences at their universities.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-22488 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/epi.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/civica-public-room4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" srcset=\"https:\/\/epi.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/civica-public-room4.jpg 300w, https:\/\/epi.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/civica-public-room4.jpg 768w, https:\/\/epi.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/civica-public-room4.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/epi.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/civica-public-room4.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In 2020, EPI in cooperation with the University \u2018Goce Del\u010dev\u2019\u2013\u0160tip and the South East European University\u2013Tetovo, established a research group \u201cEuropean law, policies, and institutions\u201d. The research group facilitates research cooperation and exchange and enables building bridges between the various stakeholders, all the while enhancing the impact potential and closing the gap between academia and policy research. The group focuses on researchers from academic institutions and researchers from policy research organizations (think tanks), as well as on unaffiliated (independent)researchers.\u00a0The group conducts various activities, including holding discussion events and fostering public dialogue by opening less discussed EU-accession-related issues, research and advocacy, networking and facilitating contacts between the relevant stakeholders, and publishing research results and discussion outcomes in various formats.
