The research analyzes\u00a0the effectiveness of EU benchmarks for Macedonia in eight areas from Chapters 23 and 24:<\/p>\n<p>Chapter 23:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u25cf Merit-Based Career System for Judges<\/li>\n<li>\u25cf Judicial Academy Reforms \u2013 Setting up the body<\/li>\n<li>\u25cf Merit-based Career for Civil Servants<\/li>\n<li>\u25cf Track record for addressing media intimidation; attacks on journalists; media independence<\/li>\n<li>\u25cf Implementation of the Law on Protection Against Discrimination<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Chapter 24:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u25cf Law on Asylum aligned with EU acquis<\/li>\n<li>\u25cf Specific anticorruption plans; providing adequate follow up of detected cases<\/li>\n<li>\u25cf The role of intelligence services and the oversight mechanisms that are introduced; established initial track<\/li>\n<li>record of investigations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The research will be presented today, at the Hotel Duvet, starting from 12:00.
