{"id":21608,"date":"2022-07-10T15:19:06","date_gmt":"2022-07-10T13:19:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/epi.org.mk\/post\/21608"},"modified":"2024-10-14T02:58:06","modified_gmt":"2024-10-14T00:58:06","slug":"%d0%b1%d0%b5%d0%b7-%d0%b5%d1%82%d0%b8%d0%ba%d0%b5%d1%82%d0%b8-%d1%81%d0%be-%d0%b0%d1%80%d0%b3%d1%83%d0%bc%d0%b5%d0%bd%d1%82%d0%b8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epi.org.mk\/en\/post\/21608?lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Arguments, not labelling!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Arguments, not labelling! <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Recently we have witnessed attacks on civil society organisations due to their publically expressed attitudes on the French proposal on opening EU accession negotiations with North Macedonia.<\/p>\n<p>We would like to stress that, despite all, the European Policy Institute shall remain committed to the <a href=\"https:\/\/epi.org.mk\/en\/about-us\/\u043c\u0438\u0441\u0438\u0458\u0430-\u0438-\u0432\u0438\u0437\u0438\u0458\u0430\/?lang=en\">goals, mission and principles of the Institute<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We shall continue to advocate the EU values determined in Article 2 of the Treaty on European Union: <em>respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights, including the rights of persons belonging to minorities<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>We remain committed to our principles of professionalism, integrity and independence.<\/li>\n<li>We support an informed debate, which is lacking in the public, instead of confronting \u201etraitors\u201d and \u201cpatriots\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>We shall keep broadening the debate on enlargement with participation of all relevant stakeholders, including official representatives, independent experts and civil society organizations, domestic and foreign.<\/li>\n<li>We shall continue to be open to the media, respecting their independence, as well as the freedom of expression, as basic democratic values.<\/li>\n<li>We expect objective and impartial reporting, without shaping and framing.<\/li>\n<li>EPI will remain a non-partisan organization, cooperating with all relevant stakeholders, but will also analyze, criticize and put forward proposals, on the grounds of evidence-based research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Arguments, not labelling!
